Our annual trip to Knock took place on 3rd August this year. We had a lovely day, weather was dry and bright. Residents really enjoyed their day out. We all went to the 3pm mass in the Basilica and the residents received the sacrament of the sick. Prayers and candles were lit for everyone near and far. We had lovely refreshments in the cafe, great facilities for our residents, so we are grateful to Knock Staff for their help. Looking forward to next years trip.

Thank you to Lough Ree Access for All for the lovely boat trip today. The residents really enjoyed the experience and we could not have asked for a better day. The sun shining is always an added bonus ..Amazing service and a great history of Lough Ree delivered by Paul & Padraig. Lovely morning and afternoon exploring Lovely Leitrim. We stopped off in the Jackalope Cafe, Drumshanbo for some coffee and treats and enjoyed the buzz around the place. We then headed over to Drumhierny Woodlands Hideaway to have a look at the lovely cabins and walkways. Great to see the residents having a great day. Also thanks to Tony our bus driver for all his help. A Classic car, has taken pride of place in the garden of Shannon Lodge Nursing Home to help spark happy memories in our residents. The fully functioning vehicle is both a conversation starter and a reminiscence tool.
