LONG TERM CARE
The transition from home to a nursing home can be stressful for both the patient and their family alike. That is why at Shannon Lodge Nursing Home we aim to provide all the luxuries of home in a relaxed, friendly environment and yet the most professionally and up to date medical care system.

We encourage families to bring in some small furnishings from home where possible, in order to make their room a 'home away from home'.

All rooms, both private and double, have direct dial telephone, tv and are en-suite with assisted showers and toilets.

CONVALESCENT AND RESPITE CARE
The recovery after any surgical procedure can sometimes be hard to endure and that is why we provide the option for people to avail or our short term stay programme.

The duration of the stay may only be for a few short weeks, but it encourages a speedy recovery by providing the nursing care required in an environment dedicated to care.

The accommodation package includes all the services currently available at Shannon Lodge Nursing Home.

DAY CARE
The Day Care Programme runs from 8.30am - 5.00pm and includes all their meals. We acknowledge the fact that sometimes the patient needs a break from their full time carer too. Every patient receives a full medical assessment and based on that we prepare a programme that suits their individual needs.

'JUST A BREAK'
At Shannon Lodge Nursing Home, we offer our elderly in the community the chance to avail of our 'short break' package at Christmas, Easter or summer holidays, whereby you can stay with us for a week or two and enjoy the services provided and home cooked meals.
